John Tiffany, M.D.

Dr. Tiffany graduated from the University of South Carolina – Aiken in 1991 Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He attended the University Of South Carolina School Of Medicine and graduated Cum Laude in 1995.   He was a member Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed a three year residency in Pediatrics with the Greenville Hospital System in 1998. During this time Dr. Tiffany was awarded  the Pediatric Resident Outstanding Teaching Award, Lily M. and G.D. Jackson Intern of the Year Award, and the Greenville Hospital System Children’s Hospital Miracle Maker Award.

Dr. Tiffany has been an active member of the Aiken community serving on the board of numerous non-profit organizations.  In addition, he gives countless hours of volunteer time to benefit the health and welfare of children.  He is a clinical faculty member with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and teaches third and fourth year medical students.  He has won Preceptor of the Year multiple times for his dedication to teaching of medical students.   

Dr. Tiffany became a pediatrician because of his love and compassion for children.  Even as a young man, his participation in Boy Scouts of America, and as a Fermata Swim Team Coach, highlighted his enthusiasm and kindness towards children.  As a pediatrician, Dr. Tiffany embraces the opportunity not only to heal the sick, but mentor and encourage the healthy  – to make positive life choices. Born and raised in Aiken, Dr. Tiffany attended Mead Hall Episcopal School and graduated from South Aiken High.

The small town atmosphere allow for close-knit relationships with patients while still providing the best that medicine has to offer. Dr. Tiffany has been married for over twenty five years to another native of Aiken, Paige Green Tiffany.  They are the proud parents of two boys, Preston and Thane.   In his spare time, Dr. Tiffany enjoys playing tennis, traveling to the beach, or working out at the gym.

Ashley Miller, DO

Dr. Ashley Miller graduated from Clemson University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science. She attended Edward via College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2019. Dr. Miller completed a three year pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia at the Medical College of Georgia in June 2022. During her time in residency, she served as a chief resident during her third year. She was an American Academy of Pediatrics representative during her training.

Dr. Miller has a passion for preventative care and is excited to help your child grow to be a healthy adult. She was a Girls on the Run coach for multiple seasons while in undergrad and has coached running groups with Fleet Feet Sports. She has a special interest in physical activity and nutrition during childhood and even created a FitKid Camp when she was a medical student in Aiken.

Dr. Miller was born and raised in North Augusta and is looking forward to taking care of children in the CSRA. During her free time she enjoys running with her husband Dylan, taking trips to the beach, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers!

Julie Quattlebaum, M.D.

Dr. Quattlebaum graduated from the University of Georgia in 1998 summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Biology. She attended the Medical College of Georgia and graduated in 2002. She completed a three year residency in Pediatrics with Greenville Hospital System in 2005. She was an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics during her training.

Dr. Quattlebaum has a passion for acutely ill children and has previously been practicing Pediatric Emergency Medicine for 18 years in the Augusta
area. She is excited to bring this experience to Tiffany Pediatrics and to also see and develop relationships with patients and families in the preventative healthcare setting. She served on the Board of Directors for Girls On The Run and loves sports and exercise as an avenue for fostering well-being both physically and mentally. She also has an interest in global health and has spent time aiding in the healthcare of children in foreign countries including Romania, Venezuela, Guatemala, and Haiti.

Dr. Quattlebaum was born and raised in Augusta. She is happily married to Bill Quattlebaum, a native of Hephzibah, Georgia. They are the proud parents of their blended family of five children, Eve, Eden, Eli, Guy, and Luke. During her free time she enjoys time with the family, music concerts, running, tennis, pickleball, travel, and watching Georgia Bulldogs football!

Christopher Bryant, MD

Chris grew up in Graniteville, South Carolina and attended the University of South Carolina for his undergraduate degree. He stayed in Columbia to attend the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, and then completed his residency in pediatrics at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital in Columbia, SC. He is excited to be returning to the area to pursue his career in pediatrics and take care of the community that raised him.

Melanie Pniewski, CPNP-PC, CLC

Melanie Kitchings Pniewski earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clemson University in 2003. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University in 2008 and completed her Post-Masters Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA in 2013. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Melanie worked at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia in Augusta, GA  and Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL as an RN in acute care in both pulmonology and general pediatrics for over 10 years. She is also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) though the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. 

In her free time, Melanie loves traveling, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors (especially at the beach and watching her four children play sports). She volunteers many hours as a Clemson alumni and is currently on the Clemson University Alumni Association Board of Directors and serving as president of the Aiken County Clemson Club. She also served as former president of the Clemson Women’s Alumni Council and numerous other positions within the organization. She is an active member of Aiken’s First Baptist Church and currently a member of their Church Council. 

As a native of Aiken, Melanie welcomes and enjoys the opportunity to care for pediatric patients in her hometown.


Karon Garman, FNP

Karon is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  She earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree at the Georgia Regents University in 2012. 

She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the Medical College of Georgia in 2003.  She completed her Associate of Science in Nursing degree at the Horry-Georgetown Technical College in 1997.

Prior to her nursing education, she attended the University of South Carolina-Columbia and majored in psychology with a minor in business, finishing studies in 1990. 

Her 25 year nursing career includes inpatient employment with general hospital floor/ICU, emergency, burn, and pediatrics/OB, as well as outpatient employment in pediatrics, dialysis, hospice, and a special seven years with the American Red Cross.  

Karon is an Aiken native with three teens.  Providing local pediatric health care is a true pleasure for her.    

Kathleen “Katy” Slagle, CPNP

Katy Slagle graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina (Columbia) with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2000.  She also earned an Honors Degree from the South Carolina Honors College; her Honors thesis focused on healthy siblings of children with chronic illnesses, a reflection of her long-time passion for pediatrics!  Katy cared for hospitalized children at Children’s Hospital of Georgia and later returned to school, earning a Masters in Nursing, PNP track from the Medical College of Georgia (now Augusta University).

Katy is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing since 2006.  Katy has particular interest in pediatric growth and development, infant/child nutrition, and helping to support families.  Prior to joining the team at Tiffany Pediatrics, Katy worked as a PNP in a variety of settings at AU Health, including pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric neurodevelopmental, and newborn care.  Katy also served as faculty at AU College of Nursing from 2007 – 2023, teaching in the classroom and in clinicals, introducing the next generation of nurses to the wonderful world of pediatrics! 

Katy has always loved caring for babies and children, from baby-sitting as a teen to the joy of raising her own.   Katy and her husband Jeff have been married since 2000, and have three college-aged kids, Lily, Martin, and Kyler.  Katy spends her free time with her family and loves being outside as much as possible for walks, hikes, or just relaxing. 

Aubrey Worrall Hauer, DNP-CPNP

Aubrey Worrall Hauer graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina Aiken with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2016.  She her Doctorate of Nursing from Augusta University in 2023. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Aubrey worked at Doctors Hospital of Augusta as an RN for over 7 years taking care of general pediatric and pediatric burn patients. 

Aubrey was and raised in Beech Island, South Carolina.  She is happily married to Patrick Hauer, a native of Aiken, South Carolina.  During her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, fishing with her husband and taking her mini labradoodle Jordan on walks.
