John Tiffany, M.D.
Dr. Tiffany graduated from the University of South Carolina – Aiken in 1991 Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry.
He attended the University Of South Carolina School Of Medicine and graduated Cum Laude in 1995. He was a member Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Tiffany completed a three year residency with the Greenville Hospital System in 1998. During this time Dr. Tiffany was awarded the Pediatric Resident Outstanding Teaching Award, Lily M. and G.D. Jackson Intern of the Year Award, and the Greenville Hospital System Children’s Hospital Miracle Maker Award. in 2007 and 2008, Dr. Tiffany was awarded Best of the Best Doctor by the Aiken Standard. In 2012, he was awarded the Carly’s Ray of Hope award from Carly’s Rays of Hope Foundation for his many years of compassionate and faithful treatment of the community’s children. He was also the winner of Aiken’s Dancing with the Stars event in 2013 which raised over $100,000 for the Free Medical Clinic of Aiken and the Child Advocacy Center.
As an active member of the community Dr. Tiffany has served on the board of numerous non-profit organizations including Children’s Place, The Child Advocacy Center, and Hitchcock Healthcare.
Dr. Tiffany became a pediatrician because of his love and compassion for children. Even as a young man, his participation in Boy Scouts of America, and as a Fermata Swim Team Coach, highlighted his enthusiasm and kindness towards children. As a pediatrician, Dr. Tiffany embraces the opportunity not only to heal the sick, but mentor and encourage the healthy – to make positive life choices.
Born and raised in Aiken, Dr. Tiffany attended Mead Hall Episcopal School and graduated from South Aiken High. Aiken is the perfect place to grow up. The small town atmosphere allow for close-knit relationships with patients while still providing the best that medicine has to offer. He is also a member of St. John’s Methodist Church and is a youth basketball coach.
Dr. Tiffany has been married for over twenty years to another native of Aiken, Paige Green Tiffany. They are the proud parents of two boys, Preston and Thane. Dr. Tiffany enjoys playing tennis and watching his children play tournaments through the United States Tennis Association.
Aysha Syed M.D.
Dr. Syed graduated from Thanjavur Medical College, Tamil Nadu, India with a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery. After completion of her Bachelors Degree, Dr. Syed began her pediatric residency in Chicago, Illinois at Sinai Children’s Hospital. While in residency Dr. Syed worked on two Quality Improvement projects; improving rates of influenza immunization in the pediatric population seen in continuity clinic at Sinai Children’s Hospital and improving early identification and categorization of asthma severity in inpatient population at Sinai Children’s Hospital.
After completing her residency in 2015, Dr. Syed began practicing pediatrics with Pediatric First PC in Warner Robins Georgia. In 2018, Dr. Syed joined, Tiffany Pediatrics to continue her love for working with children and their families, it fills her heart to see children growing and developing, in their individual ways.
In her spare time, Dr. Syed enjoys reading and family time, especially after becoming a mother in 2017. Dr. Syed and her family will reside in North Augusta, South Carolina. She looks forward to the opportunity to become a part of the Aiken Community.
Melanie K. Pniewski, M.S.N., R.N., C.P.N.P.-P.C.
Melanie Kitchings Pniewski earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Clemson University in Clemson, SC. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University and completed her Post Masters Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA.
In her free time, Melanie loves traveling, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors (especially during Clemson Tiger football season)!
She welcomes the opportunity to care for pediatric patients in her home town of Aiken, SC.
Courtney McLendon, M.S.N., C.P.N.P.-P.C.
Courtney is a graduate of the University of South Carolina-Columbia, where she obtained her bachelor and master in the science of nursing. Upon graduation she continued her education at the University of South Carolina earning her Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Courtney is excited to be a part of the Aiken community and is ready to see your child from birth to 18 years old!
Leigh Ann Blendowski graduated from The University of South Carolina – Aiken with a Bachelor in Nursing. After completion of her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Leigh Ann worked as an ER Nurse for 6 years where she found her passion for mental Health. In 2019, Leigh Ann graduated from the University of South Carolina Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program. While completing her clinical hours, Leigh Ann was able to see patients from various socioeconomic status, ages and mental health diagnoses. Leigh Ann realized that her passion was to work with children on the various mental health issues ranging from, but not limited to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression and behavioral issues.
Leigh Ann joined Tiffany Pediatrics in October of 2019. She loves being able to be an outlet for kids and being able to help through possibly some of the toughest times in their lives. When Leigh Ann is not seeing patients, she loves anything outdoors, running half marathons and spending time her dog, Obi. She also enjoys watching the Carolina Gamecocks play football in the fall.
